18th August 2022, Dubai. Real Estate, Dubai’s most alluring and sought-after industry attracts thousands of individuals from locals to expats all over the world to work in a highly lucrative market. With over a thousand companies in the industry, the competition is considerable.

 

OnlyComms, a social media page run by Dom Hadi and Jimmy Hattans, dedicates itself to creating posts that those in real estate can understand and relate to. Due to the substantial interest in the page from professionals and the intense competitiveness in the sector, the two decided that holding a real estate "boxing match" would be fitting. This will house some of the most reputable real estate firms who will compete for the grand title. With the page's already notable recognition, the event picked up with those in the industry very quickly creating a high interest of 70 potential applicants who have the opportunity to develop their talents in a new skill and accomplish a huge achievement.

 

The fight night will take place at Phileas Foggs Emirates Hills which is notoriously known for being a location for brokers to hang out and meet after work or on the weekends. The venue's owners have stated their clear intention to make this the biggest and best event seen there this year.

 

Working in partnership with the event are sponsors who will support the boxing match. 8thlining, a bespoke gentlemen’s tailoring company provide high quality custom suits and have partnered with OnlyComms to provide suits for those in attendance of the fight. OnlyComms have also exclusively partnered with BoxIQ, Dubai’s premium boxing gym for all training sessions that the fighters have.

 

The match has seen an incredible buzz from professionals at a number of real estate companies. “The lead up has been unbelievable and the buzz has gone beyond what we expected. Every brokerage wants to see this event happen and we are flooded with messages from C-level members of real estate all the way down to new joiners. This is how we know it is going to be the start of many events”, says Dom Haddi, Co-founder of OnlyComms.

 

There are a confirmed 9 brokerages fighting on the 9th September, all well respected within the industry. The confirmed are as follows, Provident Estate, Espace, Haus & Haus, Williams International, Treo, Damac, Luxfolio, White & Co and Luxe Haven.

 

Provident Estate has 3 fighters participating, the highest number of employees from one company,  Kurtis Hartman, Joe Butler and Rares Popesecu. The three have been intensely training and sticking to a strict routine in the lead up to the fight night. Putting three eligible fighters through to take part in the fight showcases that Provident Estate is more than just a real estate company, but in fact a family with enthusiasm. Joe Butler, one of the fighters from Provident Estate spoke on his thoughts on taking part in the event, “I was apprehensive to take part at first as I had only just started my real estate career in Dubai. I want to make sure my focus is on my career and making movements to progress. Taking part in the fight night has actually meant I am able to align my focus and goals and speak to like minded professionals. I spend time training before or after work and have met the other fighters during these sessions. It’s good to hear about their career experience too”.

 

With competitiveness and some animosity between a few of the fighters, expect fireworks at the pre-fight press night and on the night of 9th September.
